OVERVIEW The gallery reflects the whole of the School of Art and Design's staff and student work but is currently showing and developing a programme which predominantly shows contemporary art projects. At various stages of the annual programme the gallery supports student initiatives, but the emphasis is on national and international artists' exhibitions and projects. Lancaster Gallery Projects (LGP) is an ongoing series of exhibitions by contemporary artists who are working around aspects of durational, performative, process based practices. These projects range from site based installations and large-scale digital media projects, to one off performance based projects. The Lancaster Gallery signifies a commitment to raising the profile of contemporary art in the city. NUMBER OF EXHIBITIONS approx. 7 per year MANAGEMENT AND ORGANISATION The gallery is hosted by Coventry School of Art and Design and is currently run by a Director and gallery committee.
