>University of Huddersfield: T1 Project Space

OVERVIEW

T1 Project Space has only been operating for 18 months; the resources are good but are still within a 'fledgling' state of development. Students are predominantly supported by the space, although we plan to show regional/national and occasionally international artists to provide breadth and depth to the programme.

NUMBER AND SIZE OF EXHIBITIONS

We hold exhibitions or test-bed research projects every 3/4 weeks during teaching terms - approximately 8 to 10 exhibitions per annum

SPECIFIC FOCUS

T1 Project Space has a student curatorial committee with a academic staff Chair. The emphasis for the space is to run explorative student-led projects punctuated by external 'professional' artists exhibitions (national/international).  The exhibition programme represents all types of media and practices. To date most exhibitions are installation / interdisciplinary.

MANAGEMENT AND ORGANISATION

HEI - T1 Project Space works closely with Huddersfield Art Gallery with a view to developing a mutual/co-ordinated programme between the two galleries.

ASPIRATIONS AND INTENTIONS FOR THE CHEAD GALLERY NETWORK
