Creative Boundaries - Exploring the Link between Art & Design and Science & Technology The theme for the annual CHEAD Conference in March 2008 focused on the relationship of art and design with technology and science. Participating speakers presented a number of exciting projects, research, artefacts, exhibitions and installations that had come as a consequence of exploring the boundaries between the disciplines and their impact on curriculum research. In lively discussions - formal, informal, during break-out session as well as in the famous Crown Pub across the road in the evening - delegates were challenged to look at these collaborations. The overall aim of the conference was to contribute to the development of a long term vision for Higher Education Art & Design curricula, which identified the various voices in current policy debates and addresses the challenges facing our sector. The Annual Dinner took place in the Grand Opera House.
