The highlight of our calendar of CHEAD events, our two/three day residential Annual Conference is held each Spring and has been held at various venues throughout the UK and elsewhere in Europe. The 2008 conference was held in Belfast from 11-13 March and took as its theme “Creative Boundaries – Exploring the link between art & Design and science & technology”. In March 2009 the Annual Conference was held in Berlin with the theme “Unplugged - or Reconnected?”. March 2010's Annual Conference “Points of Departure, New Engagements” saw the Annual Conference move to Liverpool. The objective of the Annual Conference is to offer our members an opportunity to network and to explore key issues affecting our sector at that moment. Stimulating debates are informed both by our high profile speakers (in recent years these have included Rt Hon Lord Smith of Finsbury, Roisin McDonough, Chief Executive, Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Jude Kelly OBE, Director, South Bank Centre) and by an informal and welcoming atmosphere. Please follow the links above to find out more about our current and past conferences.
